Lanzarote

We visited Lanzarote during our stay on Fuerteventura. We took a ferry from Corralejo to Playa Blanca and spent three days and two nights in Costa Teguise.

Lanzarote, one of the Canary Islands, feels like another world with its black volcanic sand and dramatic, rocky landscape. Located just 130 km from North Africa, the island is home to evidence of Berber settlements dating back to around 1000 BC. Later, the Phoenicians and Romans also visited Lanzarote to trade.
