Hostel Friends Barcelona
They don’t have great reviews, but to be honest, for the price, it was good – a private bathroom, a fairly large room, and close to the metro and a bus stop. It was safe, clean and in a good location – everything we needed.

There’s no doubt about it! Gaudí’s work is amazing. La Sagrada Família is mind-blowing, and you simply have to go inside and see the sunlight coming through the windows… Tickets for all of Gaudí’s sites are available online.

Barcelona Cathedral
The unique Gothic church building with impressive interior, beautiful cloister and famous geese is worth to visit.
Columns of the temple of Augustus
These columns aren’t famous or particularly impressive, but since they are located in the Gothic Quarter, near the Cathedral, they’re an interesting thing to have a look at if you have some spare time. What makes them especially interesting is that they are hidden inside the building that houses the Centre Excursionista de Catalunya (the Hiking Club of Catalonia).
